Train Your Dog Month 2012 Contest Rules

This contest focuses on the idea that the New Year is a time for setting goals, both for ourselves, for our dogs, for our business and for our clients. APDT members are encouraged to submit their New Year’s Trainer Resolution.  Five winners will be randomly drawn from all of the submissions, and we will feature select submissions on the Train Your Dog Month website and in The APDT Chronicle of the Dog.

Contest Rules

  1. This contest is open only to active APDT members (associate, full or professional level).  Only one entry per person is allowed.
  2. To submit entry, contestant must submit their resolution to trainyourdogmonth@apdt.com and note in the subject line “CONTEST ENTRY: Last name, First name.” Or, you can may post your entries here.
  3. Submissions must be no longer than 250 words.
  4. All entries must include your contact information: first and last name, e-mail address, phone number, full mailing address and APDT member #.
  5. The deadline for entry is December 31, 2011 by 5 pm PST.
  6. Four names will be randomly drawn from the submitted entries. The prizes are:
    • First prize: 2012 APDT Annual Educational Conference Five-Day Registration Pass
    • Second Prize: An Amazon Kindle Touch
    • Third Prize: One year free membership in the APDT
    • Fourth Prize: Five free APDT webinars
    • All winners will also receive a Newtrix Head Halter courtesy of our event sponsor, Newtrix.
  7. The submissions may be published in The APDT Chronicle of the Dog, and on the APDT’s web sites, www.apdt.com and www.trainyourdogmonth.com, as well as on the APDT Facebook page. Entry in the contest constitutes your permission for the APDT and its sponsors to use your entry, name and information for promotional and/or publication purposes in the magazine, on the Web site and in other media.
  8. Entries must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. Pacific time on December 31, 2011. The APDT is not responsible for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or sponsor.
  9. Winners will be notified by e-mail by January 6, 2012. Prizes will be mailed to the winners via Federal Express. A list of winners will be posted on www.apdt.com, www.trainyourdogmonth.com and on the APDT Facebook page.
  10. All entries become the property of the APDT and may be used for future promotional purposes.
By entering the contest, entrants agree that the APDT and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall have no liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind resulting from participation in the contest or acceptance, possession, or use of any prize. By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the APDT, which are final.
